Forbidden Fruit
A musical exploration of emotional states including the world premiere of a song cycle by renowned conductor and composer Colman Pearce. The song cycle was specially written for soprano Catrina Scullion and pianist Catriona McElhinney-Grimes using the poetry of William Blake. The recital duo are delighted to return to the National Concert Hall (John Field Room) after their sold out performance of their evening recital “Dreamscapes” in June 2017.
They are privileged to include this performance of a new contemporary Irish work in this upcoming recital, which will explore the themes of Joy, Sorrow and Malice through the song cycle and also the music of Handel, Mozart, Schubert, Duparc and Gounod. Forbidden Fruit, NCH January 11th @1;05pm |
